CHRIS WANDELL

Chris Wandell gained a broadcasting BA in Professional Media and Content Creation at Ravensbourne College where he focused on writing, directing and producing. He started his career behind the camera but ended up performing in over 20 roles during his time at university, one of which was in a prestigous BAFTA run TAPS production. Chris became involved with the lively Independant Brighton film scene back in 2007 having written and performed in a risky improv based comedy project named 'Juvenile' Directed by Christian Wise.

SAMANTHA BOLTER

Sam has performed roles in several feature films, plays and short films. Her credits include: 'Claire' in feature film 'Ambleton Delight’, ‘Scrooge’s Niece’ in BTC’s ‘A Christmas Carol’ at The Old Ship & ‘Juliet’ in a UK tour of Romeo and Juliet, to name a few. She is currently on tour playing Gemma in ‘The Essence of Love’ a new comedy written and directed by Philip Ayckbourn. Sam also performed crew roles on Darkest Day including 3rd Assistant Director & Co-Editor and has subsequently formed BrightHelm Films with Simon Drake and Dan Rickard.

DAN RICKARD (Director)
Appeared as ‘Dan’ in the film

Dan studied Maths at the University of Sussex but ended up spending more time making short films with friends than studying, one of which later became 'Darkest Day'. After his degree, he immediately signed up to Brighton Film School. After this he decided to complete the film he never finished. Dans main skill is visual effects, which is the main reason he started 'Darkest Day'. He has worked on several short films, adverts, and the Africa-set zombie feature film 'The Dead'. He is currently working on the sequel to The Dead - The Dead 2 :India. He has now formed BrightHelm Films with Sam Bolter and Simon Drake.

CHRISTIANNE VAN WIJK

Chrissy started acting as a child in her home country of Holland where she appeared in several T.V. shows and went on to train at The Academy of Creative Training in Brighton in 2005. After studying there for a year she decided that she wanted to learn more about film-making and gained a place at Brighton Film School, she graduated in 2007 with classmates Dan Rickard and Christian Wise. Chrissy has just finished directing her own first feature film ‘The Scandalous Four’, a period drama with a twist. www.scandalousfour.com

SIMON DRAKE (Producer)
Appeared as ‘Will’ in the film

Simon Drake moved into the film industry from a fashion photography background and began work as a runner on feature fims like 'London to Brighton', 'The Firm' and 'Heartless', and producing several short films including one filmed in the prestigious Royal Pavilion. Simon then moved up to a 1st Assistant Director position on the feature film '31 North 62 East' and also worked on the BBC TV series 'Emma' and the Mark Gatiss TV dramas 'Crooked House' and 'The First Men in the Moon'. This film marks his first feature film as a producer and he has subsequently formed BrightHelm Films with Sam Bolter and Dan Rickard.

WILX (Composer)

Richard 'Wilx' Wilkinson has been writing and producing music for various projects since starting his music degree at the University of Liverpool. He has since worked as an audio engineer on games like SingStar, Disney's Sing it and Guitar Hero. He currently lives in Brighton, working as an audio engineer as well as producing and writing music for artists & films. Darkest Day will be his second feature. www.wilx.co.uk
